❓ Quick FAQ

Which vehicles/years does this fit?
The 6.0L Powerstroke V8 Turbo Diesel used in Ford F-250/F-350/F-450/F-550 Super Duty (2003–2007) and the Ford Excursion (2003–2005).

Why does the fuel filter kit include two cartridges?
The 6.0L uses a dual-stage system: the primary filter/water separator mounts in the frame-rail HFCM module to strip bulk water and debris, while the secondary filter sits atop the engine (next to the oil filter) for a final 2-micron polish before fuel reaches the injectors.

How do I replace all three filters?

  1. Remove the oil filter cap (36mm socket), swap the cartridge and O-ring, then torque to 19 lb-ft.
  2. Remove the secondary fuel filter cap (24mm socket), swap the cartridge and O-ring, then torque to 11 lb-ft.
  3. Drain the frame-rail water separator via its drain plug (6mm Allen).
  4. Remove the primary filter cap (36mm socket), replace the cartridge and seal, then torque to 19 lb-ft.
  5. Cycle the ignition to RUN (without starting) 3–4 times to prime the system, then start the engine and check all housings for leaks.
