❓ Quick FAQ

Which engines/equipment does this fit?
Heavy-duty CAT diesel engines (C7, C9, C12, C13, C15, 3126, 3406) used across dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, dump trucks, on-highway semis, and marine/industrial power units.

What's the filtration rating, and why does it matter?
A 2-micron absolute rating using a cellulose/synthetic blend — essential for modern High-Pressure Common Rail systems running above 30,000 PSI, where even microscopic particles can damage injector nozzles.

How do I replace this spin-on filter?

  1. Shut down the equipment, clean the filter header, and place a catch pan underneath.
  2. Remove the old filter with a strap wrench; confirm the old gasket came off with it.
  3. Clean the mounting surface, then lubricate the new filter's gasket with diesel or oil.
  4. Prime the new filter by pouring clean diesel into the outer inlet holes (not the center hole).
  5. Spin the new filter on by hand until the gasket contacts the base, then turn an additional 3/4–1 full turn.
  6. Use the priming pump to purge air, then start the engine and check for leaks around the seal.
