A 4-micron rating with an open-bottom spin-on canister that pairs with a reusable water-separator bowl, letting operators drain water and sediment before it reaches the high-pressure injection system.
How do I replace this filter without damaging the water bowl?
- Drain the bowl and remove the old filter/bowl assembly with a strap wrench.
- Unscrew the reusable bowl from the old canister; clean it and remove the old O-ring.
- Fit a new O-ring on the bowl and thread it onto the new filter canister.
- Lubricate the top gasket and prime the new filter via the outer inlet holes.
- Spin the assembly onto the mounting header by hand, then turn an additional 3/4–1 turn.
- Use the priming pump to purge air, start the engine, and check both seals for leaks.
