How do I replace this filter?
- Drain the old filter canister into a catch pan; disconnect the WIF sensor if equipped.
- Remove the old filter with a strap wrench.
- Clean the mounting surface and transfer/replace the WIF sensor with a new O-ring if reused.
- Pre-fill the new filter with diesel through the outer holes, lubricate the seal, then hand-tighten an additional 1/2–3/4 turn after contact.
- Reconnect the WIF sensor wiring.
- Cycle the ignition to RUN (without cranking) 3–5 times to prime the system, then start the engine and check for leaks.
